In 1983, Mr. Larson moved to California to accept a position in training and development with Keegan Management Company, the corporation owning the Nutri-System Weight Loss Centers. With Nutri-System, he advanced to National Manager of Technical Services providing training seminars, motivational speaking, and quality assurance services for their centers throughout the US. He was the corporate leader for developing the company’s employee training program and participated in the executive team for product development of client services and education seminars.
Continuing his interest in training and education, in 1989 Mr. Larson became Director of Education for the Computer Learning Center in San Francisco. His responsibilities at the Computer Learning Center included management of student services, faculty management and hiring, and curriculum development for the school’s 1100 students and 48 faculty members.
In 1996, Mr. Larson became a partner and business manager with Transformation, a residential design and property investment firm in Northern California where he remains active. As a licensed California Real Estate Agent, Mr. Larson is also active in representing both residential and commercial properties in the SF Bay area, as well as the expansion and marketing of Z Group Realtors with whom he is associated.
Mr. Larson combined his strong communication skills and program development experience with Real Estate expertise to join long time business partner, Kelsey Maddox, in founding Home and Value Advisors where he is currently a partner and Chief Operations Officer.
Mr. Maddox began his career as an assistant to an architect in Denver, Colorado. A developing interest in historic preservation led him to become a founding member of the Historic Hawaii Foundation. For over twenty years, on both Oahu and Kauai, Mr. Maddox personally restored and preserved Hawaiian plantation buildings, including the well-known Kilauea Manager’s House on Kauai. This focus evolved into a career in property development of landmark buildings and historic real estate. Many of these homes and buildings are now permanently protected on the National Historic Registry.
In 1994 Mr. Maddox’s interest in consciousness and human potential motivated him to obtain a Master’s Degree in psychology. For several years he practiced as a therapist in California while continuing to invest in real estate and property development. This practice with investments and development lead to the organization of a design business, Transformation.
Through his intimate work with clients to achieve their goals with design, Mr. Maddox has become successful not only for his aesthetic contributions but for his financial counseling as well. Today Mr. Maddox is an industry leader, as partner and Chief Executive Officer with Home and Value Advisors, helping people to increase their personal net worth through financial strategies to maximize the value of their largest asset, their home.
